Trump just promised his supporters they’ll never have to vote again

Donald Trump couldn’t be more clear about his intentions if he wins the presidency in November.

Speaking at the Turning Point Action Believers’ Summit on Friday, the Republican nominee said, “You’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”

Sure, maybe Trump is being hyperbolic. Maybe he means the country will be “fixed” by 2028 and everyone will be so happy that Republicans won’t even have to campaign.

Or maybe, as usual, his mouth got ahead of his brain and he’s saying exactly what he means: Vote me in again and I’ll stay in power this time.
